Flickry.
Hey folks,
Nearly completed uploading all the arty bits to Flickr now. It's taken a while, but I've got most of my artwork archived, plus some photo stuffs (like the pics above). Hopefully, all new artworky things will start appearing in sync across the internets :)

Squirrel Skelly..
Hi folks,
Quick update on the calibration issue.. I've been investigating and it appears the contrast & brightness were set way too high on my monitor so basically all the work I had white balanced on Photoshop was out - plus there appeared to be a severe blue cast on many of the images. I've now corrected all of the posts and hopefully, everything should be hunky dory now.
If anybody out there contrast/brightness corrects their scanned images I would seriously recommend checking a site like Lagom for help. This website has been incredibly helpful for tweaking my monitor.

Calibration...
Hey folks,
Thought I'd write a wee post on something that just occurred to me the other day - monitor calibration.
Over the last few years, I've noticed differences in image quality: colour casts, contrast and brightness with my work viewed on friends and family's computers, phones & tablets. Most of it wasn't too bad but probably because the work I do now is high contrast, the differences are much more apparent.
I set up a couple of test images with "A" being basically what I see on my screen and "B" the same image across a bunch of tablets, phones, PC's and Macs. The "A" images on my screen are very bright, almost white with very little cast. This is basically how the artwork itself looks in reality. The "B" images are just very, very off. - grrrr!
I've calibrated my monitor using the Windows8 tool and have begun correcting my images. Hopefully you guys should see the differences soon.
Most of my Flickr & website images have now been corrected if anybody wants a peep at what they should look like btw.
Blogger posts affected will be sorted asap aswell.

The Faerie Glen.
I tend not to blog about places too often but the Faerie Glen (near Uig) on the isle of Skye might possibly be the most amazing place I've been in many, many years. It's basically Hobbiton - in Scotland. Seriously. Utterly mental & quite brilliant, check it out if you're ever on Skye.

A return to Flickr.
Hey folks,
I've been slowly reacquainting myself with Flickr over the last week and hope to get a lot of the work built up over the last 4 years uploaded over the next few months. I have two or three other social media accounts still to synchronize with uploads (I'll add blogger links sometime soon) and the plan is really to have them all updated pretty regular.
The wee drawing above is a new painting idea I'm still comping btw..
