The hair on the 2nd sketch is deliberately a wee bit nebulous btw - was experimenting with hats and patternation.

I'm constantly looking for mechanical/industrial stuff to help with ideas for robots/creatures and spotted these guys during a jaunt to Summerlee Industrial Museum. Anyone familiar with the cantina scene in Star Wars may feel slight deja vu at that top one. Don't think it's exactly the same but very similar to the the one they used for the character Nabrun Leids..
